Hyaluronic acid is the major component of the extracellular matrix. It is found in large quantities in the skin, where it is mainly produced by fibroblasts (dermis) and keratinocytes (epidermis). A unique feature of it is its enormous ability to bind water molecules and retain it in the skin, ensuring immediate and lasting hydration. In addition to this property, hyaluronic acid seems to play a central role in tissue regeneration, maintaining the integrity of the extracellular matrix, ensuring their normal functioning, also being involved in their healing.

The peony, nicknamed the "flower with a thousand petals", embodies love, romance and feminine beauty. With such a pleasant fragrance, this generous, delicate and sensual flower is considered by the Chinese as the queen of flowers. It has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over two thousand years to heal skin rashes, aid healing and soothe irritations. Peony extract has a protective effect and prevents oxidation caused by the harmful effects of sunlight and pollution, helping to prevent unevenness.
